Fundu Lagoon is a barefoot-chic beach resort on the picturesque island of Pemba, part of the Zanzibar Archipelago in Tanzania. Nestled amid lush tropical vegetation and overlooking the azure waters of the Indian Ocean, Fundu Lagoon offers a secluded and idyllic retreat for travellers seeking a combination of relaxation and adventure.

Accommodation at Fundu Lagoon consists of stylishly designed canvas safari-style tents and suites, each set on raised wooden decks to maximize views and provide a sense of immersion in nature. The entry level rooms are the Hillside Rooms, through to Beachfront Rooms and at the higher end the Jungle/Beach Suites and Superior Suite. We would recommend going for at least the Beachfront Rooms and you certainly will not regret opting for one of the suites, including private plunge pools, more seclusion or direct beach access.

Fundu Lagoon offers a wide range of activities and excursions, from exploring the mangroves by kayak, wakeboarding or snorkelling trips to trips into the interior of the island to discover flying foxes, ancient ruins and vibrant local culture.
