In such a wildlife-rich area as the Serengeti, in our opinion it is best experienced 'under canvas'. To feel the connection with the raw wilderness beyond your canvas walls, but in the safety of your luxury safari tent is not an experience you can forget. As well as hearing the noises and sometimes even sensing the movement of animals outside of your room, the impact of these camps on the environment is minimal compared to larger, more permanent lodges. 

Kirurumu Central Serengeti is a semi-mobile camp that moves throughout the year and this flexibility is used strategically to make the most of the wildlife sightings. There is no escaping that the central Serengeti is home to many camps and attracts more visitors than any other area of the Serengeti, so Kirurumu are also able to move to less congested areas giving guests a more exclusive and authentic experience.

The camp itself is made up of seven safari tents collected around a central main area, which is home to the dining area and lounge. The tents are spacious and well-appointed with high-quality linens, comfortable mattresses, mosquito nets and complete with hot showers and flushable toilets you would hardly know this camp is picked up and moved throughout the year.

The camp is normally used as part of a privately guided driven circuit around Tanzania, but they also offer game package rates for fly-in guests who would then use a guide and vehicle based at the camp. Either way, the excitement beyond the walls of the camps is such that you are going to be spending most of your time looking for wildlife. The camp serves as a comfortable, friendly and warm base for when you return.
