Along with Kenya and Tanzania, South Africa is probably one of most well-known countries to visit for a safari trip. It is the first country that Faran Travel's founder Josh visited during his undergraduate degree and what sparked his love for the continent.

Perhaps the main things that set South Africa apart from the many other safari destinations is firstly, the variety and secondly, the ease of travel.

Along with fantastic safari areas, South Africa has glistening golden beaches, rich marine life, picturesque wine farms, buzzing cities, cute town and so very much more. Along with Namibia it is also the only country in Southern and Eastern where we can recommend a self-drive trip, such is the ease of driving and navigating. Often our travellers will do a fly-in trip to the safari areas and have a hire car as they explore Cape Town, the Winelands or the Garden Route.
