Verney's Camp is a luxurious and remote safari camp located in the southeast of Hwange National Park, in Zimbabwe. It offers an exceptional wilderness experience in one of Africa's largest and most diverse national parks. It is part of one of our favourite safari operators in Southern Africa whose other properties include Deteema Springs in Hwange as well as Gomoti Plains in the Okavango Delta, Botswana.

Verney's Camp is situated in a 10,000 hectare private concession within Hwange National Park, ensuring a secluded and intimate safari experience. Located near the Verney’s Vlei area the camp is strategically located near waterholes and seasonal floodplains, making it an excellent spot for wildlife viewing, particularly during the dry season when animals congregate around these water source. ​

The camp has 10 well-appointed safari tents, nestled under shady trees bordering the waterhole in front of the camp. The tents are positioned carefully to afford each the best views possible as well as far enough apart to ensure privacy. The open-plan tents are very spacious with a large bed in the middle, flanked to one side by a sitting area and the ensuite bathroom to the other.

Given that the camp is in its own concession, as well as game drives and walking safaris, you are able to head out on exciting night drives for a chance to see some of the nocturnal residents of Hwange.
