When to go? Between mid-Jun and Oct. It can get quite hot in October and considering the walking element of this trip if that might affect your enjoyment we'd recommend going earlier in the season.

2 nights Tafika Camp, South Luangwa

Upon arrival in Lusaka Airport you will be met and directed through the terminal to a domestic flight to Mfuwe Airport, the gateway to the South Luangwa. Here you will be met and driven to Tafika Camp.

On safari with Tafika

You have a full day on safari with Tafika, exploring the exclusive Nsefu sector of the South Luangwa National Park.

2 nights Chikoko Trails Camps

From Tafika you will cross the river and into a walking-only part of the South Luangwa for two nights.

A day of walking safaris

Either from Chikoko Tree Camp or Big Lagoon Camp you will head out on morning and afternoon walking safaris in this vast, untamed wilderness

3 nights Mwaleshi Camp, North Luangwa

Today you will head to the little-visited North Luangwa by means of an internal flight. Spend three nights at Mwaleshi Camp.

Enjoy two full days on safari from Mwaleshi

With very few roads the North Luangwa is best explored on foot.

Sleep-out from Mwaleshi

We would recommend a night 'sleep-out' from Mwaleshi.

3 nights Musekese Camp, Kafue National Park

Finally, you will fly from Mfuwe to Lufupa (via Lusaka) to enjoy three nights at Musekese Camp in the heart of the Kafue.

On safari with Musekese Camp

As well as game drives there are also boat trips, canoe safaris and walking safaris possible here. After a lot of time exploring on foot during the trip so far, we would recommend getting out on the water while you are here.

Return back to Lusaka

Finally, you will fly back to Lusaka, bringing your incredible trip to an end.
